Terming the recent abduction spree an “alarming incident,” State Minister for Home, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, said the current abduction rate has gone down than previous years in the country.
The Minister made the observation while addressing a press conference in the ministry around 4.00pm on Wednesday.
He said: “Although we are considering the recent abduction spree as an alarming incident, we have found that the current abduction rate has been gone down than the privious time.”
Referring the “success of law enforcers” regarding the Milky murder case, the junior home boss said: “The big cities including Dhaka will bring under scrutiny measures as CCTV cameras will soon placed in important points to ensure security and to trace crimes like abduction.
Special check posts have already been set up in both entry and exit point of the capital and also in other cities. Moreover, any private and public vehicle fitted with black glass will not be allowed to run in the capital,” he added.
