Earlier in the night, the vice-chancellor also held a meeting with the teachers of Fisheries Faculty.
The students of the university have been continuing the strike demanding the immediate arrest of the killers of Saad Ibne Momtaz, a final year student of Fisheries Faculty.
As part of their programmes, hundreds of students gathered in front of the administrative building and staged a sit-in programme on Wednesday morning.
Later, they brought out a procession on the campus demanding immediate arrest of all the killers and their trial under Speedy Trial Act.
Saad, also Bangladesh Chhatra League leader of BAU unit, was killed in an attack allegedly by a rival group on the campus on April 1.
Following the agitations by the general students, academic activities came to a halt for a month as students are on the streets to realise their demands.
