A fire broke out at Krishi Bank Bhaban, a high-rise building at the capital's financial hub Motijheel, on Sunday afternoon.
Ataur Rahman, duty officer of the fire service control room, told the Dhaka Tribune that seven fire fighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the flame.
He said the fire originated on the seventh floor of the building around 5:20pm. The fire fighters doused the flames within half an hour.
The cause and damage of the fire could not be identified immediately.
