The driver, his assistant and the guard have been blamed in the probe report submitted regarding the train accident in Sirajganj where 2 people were killed.
Sirajganj District Administration filed their probe report at the rail ministry and the office of its director general on Tuesday.
Earlier, the probe report of the western division of the Bangladesh Railway, submitted to the same offices, also found these three people guilty.
The report found contractual driver Bankim Chandra Roy, his assistant Abdus Shafi and guard Azizur Rahman guilty of ignoring a red signal.
Sirajganj Additional Magistrate Mohammad Shafiqul Islam has endorsed the information and said the trio's depositions ware recorded on Monday.
“They ignored the red outer signal at the platform 1 where Lalmoni Express was waiting. The two trains collided because they drove into those lines.”
The probe report also suggested that they appoint skilled and experienced drivers instead of contractual appointment for driving trains.
It also recommended immediate appointment of skilled and experienced drivers if the railway has shortage of drivers.
Suggestions were also made for regular breaks for the train driver, assistant and the guards.
On April 3, Lalmoni Express collided head on with Ekata Express killing two people and injuring at least 30 others. Four carriages were derailed.
