Kiesza tops UK Charts with debut single Hideaway

New music sensation Kiesza has reached the top spot in the UK chart singles with her debut single Hideaway.

The Canadian singer-songwriter has incredibly sold 136,000 copies in the UK in the last week, beating Sigma and their new track Nobody To Love from the top spot down to second place.

Kiesza’s new song has become the third “fastest-selling single” of the year – so far.

Revealing her surprise, she told OfficialCharts.com: “Being Number 1 is the most amazing feeling ever. I just want to say thank you to everybody who's supported it. I never expected this at all when I created Hideaway; it's amazing to see people come out of the woodwork and fall in love with it, so thank you!"

Shift K3y bagged his first Top 10 hit with Touch at number three, while John Legend's All Of Me stayed at number four with Aloe Blacc's The Man dropping to five.

Meanwhile, Scottish singer Paolo Nutini scored the fastest-selling album of 2014 with his third album Caustic Love. The album sold a staggering 109,000 copies in the past seven days.
