For the first time, celebrated singer Fahmida Nabi is giving her celestial voice for a Nazrul song album which is scheduled to release marking the 115th birth anniversary of the national poet on May 25. Since the name of the album is yet to be finalised, the popular singer who is active on social networks asked her fans to suggest an apt name for the venture on her Facebook page. Gifted musician Bappa Mazumder is composing music for the album and the recording of the songs is being held in a recording studio in the capital.
The songs of the album are designed to capture the attention of the younger generation. The singer believes that the youth of the country should cherish the music of Nazrul as it is highly motivational and revolutionary in nature with strong and powerful words and captivating tunes.
Nine popular romantic songs of Nazrul will be placed in the album. At present, the singer does not want to reveal the title of the tracks as she hopes to surprise her audience with the track listing. With smooth melodic tunes, romantic ambiance is created through the brilliant music composition of Bappa, aiming to connect with the mood of listeners, shares Fahmida.
Maturity and perceptive of Nazrul's philosophy is indispensable while working on his songs, reasons the singer, for bringing a solo album of Nazrul song at this stage of her career. From her early childhood she practiced Nazrul and Rabindra songs with her father and legendary Bengali modern singer Mahmudun Nabi. Her father preached to her that no singer should be limited in a repetitive sphere. To render Nazrul's song, she had to study the backdrop story of every song of the album to endow her entire ardor in the venture.
Although it is the first solo Nazrul song album of Fahmida, earlier she presented a Nazrul song titled Durdip Bashini in the film Daruchini Dip and in few live gigs.
