An array of lively and colourful photographs are featured at the debut exhibition of Photo & Fun, a platform of amateur photographers, at the DRIK Gallery in Dhanmondi.
Three foreigners, five non-resident Bangladeshi and 54 photographers from different parts of the country are participating in the exhibition titled Freezing Moments. As the photographers came from diverse place with diverse psyche, the viewers can enjoy a wide range of varieties in terms of subject, composition, genres and more in the displayed photographs. Few photographs portraying the diaspora life of the expatriates and the serenity of nature of abroad add additional twist in the exhibition. Besides the natural beauty of the country, the local photographers focused on subjects like environmental degradation, religious practices of people, daily life and festivals.
Though mostly amateur photographers took part in the exhibition, but few photographs might mislead the spectators’ eyes as those were taken by professionals. Experimentation and perfection create a unique combination in those photographs. The exhibition will end today
