The train communications between Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Sylhet routes have resumed five hours after an oil-laden wagon derailed in Akhaura upazila, Brahmanbaria on Wednesday.
The train derailed near Gangasagar area around 11:30am in the morning, Bangladesh Railway Assistant Director Sayedur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune.
Later, a rescue team managed to reach the spot and removed the compartment.
