The winter-time drizzle that has been pouring in the last couple of days is likely to be gone by the night, a meteorological office said on Monday.
The drizzle that began from Saturday is the result of a bridge coming in from the west and passing over to the east through Bangladesh, Abdur Rahman, Duty Forecast Officer of Bangladesh Meteorological Department, told the Dhaka Tribune.
“This is natural and is often seen during winter,” he said.
“However, the drizzle is likely to be gone by tonight (Monday),” Rahman said, adding: “Another spell of rainfall is unlikely within the month of February.”
Weather forecast said rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet.
The temperature might drop during the day and that for the night is likely to remain unchanged.
A sudden rain at the beginning of spring has brought back cold and disrupted city dwellers, creating gridlock on the streets in the capital city.
The weather has become chillier with the gusty wind.
