Sir Salimullah Medical College authorities declared the institution closed for an indefinite period on Wednesday evening.
Confirming the matter, Principal Dilip Chandra Dhar said the college has been declared closed indefinitely over the recent spate of violence between the doctors and interns.
He said: “The students will have to leave the halls within 7am tomorrow [Thursday].”
Dilip Chandra announced the decision after holding a meeting with the Academy Council in the evening.
