The 24-hour transport strike called for 20 November in Chittagong was withdrawn on Tuesday.
On Tuesday afternoon the leaders of the association decided to call off the transport strike, after a meeting with Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Abdul Manna.
The meeting was held at the DC office around 11am.
The association called the strike after the vandalism on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway on Monday night.
Leaders of the association said the strike was withdrawn as the DC assured them they would fulfill their demands at the meeting.
But the 24-hour countrywide transport strike for November 21 still stands.
