A corporal of Bangladesh Army was killed and two other fellow soldiers seriously injured in a road accident in Gazipur on Thursday.
The deceased was one Joyonto, 42, a corporal from Satkhira. The injured are Saiful Islam, 35, from Bhola, and Sadik, 34, from Chuadanga.
The three are all members of 20 East Bengal Regiment.
DGFI sources of Rajendrapur cantonment said the trio was riding a bike to Savar when a truck collided with it head on in Haldoba at around 4pm.
They were flown to Dhaka Combined Military Hospital, but Joyonto succumbed on the way.
While the truck was seized, but the driver managed to flee.
