A photojournalist was attacked in Bogra Sadar on Wednesday, the last day of the opposition’s 84-hour hartal.
Mahitul Alam Milon, a cameraman of the media cell of Pally Unnayan Academy, was attacked by a Jamaat-e-Islami procession at 8:45am.
The Dhaka Tribune learned of attack from Milon.
“Jamaat men beat me up and broke my camera,” he said while being treated at a local hospital.
Jamaat, the organisation that sided with Pakistan during the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971, is a key member of the BNP-led 18-party alliance.
