Tigers in T20 World Cup Super 10

Tigers have entered Super 10 encounters of T20 World Cup 2016 smashing Oman by 54 runs in Dharamsala cricket ground.

The ace Bangladeshi opener smashed Oman’s bowling efforts in a cyclonic way.

It was clinical one as Tigers were unstoppable also stood out head and shoulders above the rest in this group.

Led by Tamim, and cameos from Shakib and Sabbir, Bangladesh posted an above-par 180.

Oman struggled in the chase, losing wickets regularly before rain made regular appearances and disappearances to shorten the game continually. In the end, Oman faced a task they could not keep up with and succumbed to a 54-run loss.

Tamim’s passionate and sensible batting display has been propelled Bangladesh to set 180-run target in the World T20 Group A against Oman in the knockout bout.

He smashed a fabulous ton of 103* off 63 balls hitting 10 groundbreaking boundaries and four whirlwind maximums.

Tamim Iqbal also entered as the first Bangladeshi player in 1,000- run club in Twenty20 International Cricket.

Sabbir hit an important knock of 44 runs off 26 balls hitting five boundaries and a huge maximum.

Soumya Sarkar departed the pitch scoring 12 off 22 balls.

Oman were brilliant with the ball for the first 8-9 overs. But then Tamim cyclone struck, blowing away whatever came in its way. The left-hander has given his team enough on the board.

Oman have won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Having beaten Ireland in a last-over thriller, Oman, whose game against Netherlands was washed out, were heading into their knockout clash against Bangladesh high on confidence.
