Shraddha Kapoor’s current progress down the road of success reminds us of Priyanka Chopra’s ultimate stardom. The Bajirao Mastani actress too became a complete package with both her acting and singing skills. Likewise, after being part of a singer’s rags-to-riches story in Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui 2, Shraddha Kapoor has lent her voice in the film, Ek Villian. In 2015, the actress received the award for the famous song Galliyan. This was the first time Golden Indian Music Academy Awards introduced the award for the best celebrity singer, which was taken home by Shraddha Kapoor. Shraddha was excited about winning this one! She tweeted out a picture with the award saying: “Received the best celebrity singer of the year award at #GIMA tonight in front of my mom! She looked so proud of me & that made me so happy!”

Actress Alia Bhatt’s popular single Samjhawan Unplugged from the film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania from 2014 had crossed the 50-million-benchmark immediately on YouTube after posting. In the film, the song was sung by Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal and Alia, and was posted on the video-sharing site in July 2014. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who produced the Shashank Khaitan directorial, took to Twitter on Thursday to share the news with his fans.

Pop girl Sonakhi
Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who judged the contestants in the second season of singing reality show, Indian Idol Junior, has made her debut as a singer with a new single titled Ishqoholic. Music video of the song is being released also. The youth-friendly and hip-hop number is composed by Meet Bros, and with Kumaar as the lyricist. read a statement. T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, who is glad to be the one to make Sonakshi’s debut in the singing industry, said: “Sonakshi has a beautiful voice and the song has turned out to be very catchy and easy to hum. I am so glad we got a chance to work on something which binds the world together – music.”
