ICSF to protest Pakistan's genocide denial in London

International Crimes Strategy Forum (ICSF) will hold a protest in front of Pakistan High Commission in London on Thursday afternoon to oppose Pakistan's genocide denial and other atrocious stances on 1971.

A press release was issued in this regard by Sushanta Das Gupta, a member of ICSF, announcing the protest.

The statements said ICSF has organised a protest event to protest against Pakistan’s statement and called all concerned citizens to join and take a stand.

ICSF also demanded downgrading diplomatic relation with Pakistan and initiating investigation and prosecution of Pakistani genocidaires in Bangladesh .

It also asked the government to demand compensation and reparation for victims of 1971 and explore avenues to realise equitable share of the assets of undivided Pakistan including return of foreign aid transferred from Dhaka to Lahore in 1971 .

On November 22, Salauddin Quader Chowdhury and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid were executed for committing crimes against humanity and genocide in Bangladesh in 1971.

Following the execution, the spokesperson of the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted in a statement published on Sunday.

The statement read: “Pakistan is deeply disturbed at this development.”

Later, Bangladesh formally protested remarks made by the spokesperson of the Pakistan Foreign Ministry.

Following the summon, Pakistan summoned Bangladesh envoy to Islamabad and denied its involvement in crimes and atrocities during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
