A fire at Amin Plastic Factory in Keraniganj, Dhaka, was brought under control at 2pm on Monday, leaving one person dead.
Eight units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence worked to bring the blaze under control.
Talha Bin Jasim, an official of the Fire Service headquarters' media department, confirmed the information.
He said the fire service received the report at 12:30pm.
Five units initially responded to the fire, while three more units later joined the operation.
