A fire broke out at a restaurant on the fifth floor of a six-storey building at Centrepoint Shopping Mall near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Uttara on Wednesday.
The fire broke out at the restaurant on the fifth floor of the shopping mall around 12:45pm and soon spread, said Md Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector (Media Cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 1:40pm.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be known immediately.
