Teachers and students at educational institutions across the country will observe a total of 21 holidays in August and September, including weekly holidays, according to the academic calendar.
The calendar shows that August will have 9 weekly holidays. In addition, educational institutions will remain closed on August 5 for July Mass Uprising Day, August 12 for Akheri Chahar Somba, and August 26 for Eid-e-Miladunnabi.
In total, educational institutions will observe 12 holidays in August.
September will have 8 weekly holidays. Educational institutions will also remain closed on September 24 for Fateha-i-Yazdaham.
Madhu Purnima and Mahalaya fall on Saturdays and therefore will not be counted as additional holidays.
As a result, educational institutions will observe 9 holidays in September, bringing the combined total for August and September to 21.
