BUFT signs tripartite MoU with SICIP, Shin Shin Group

A groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday between the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), and Shin Shin Group to advance skills development and innovation in Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector.

The signing ceremony, held at the SICIP office in Dhaka, was attended by Mohammed Walid Hossain, Additional Secretary & Executive Program Director of SICIP; Faruque Hassan, Chairman, BUFT Board of Trustees; Mohammad Sohel Sadat, Chairman and Managing Director, Shin Shin Group; Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, VC (Acting) & Pro VC, BUFT; Prof Dr Md Alamgir Hossain, Treasurer, BUFT; and Md Rafiquzzaman, Registrar, BUFT.

SICIP, under the Finance Division, focuses on boosting productivity and competitiveness in emerging industries.

The collaboration will support advanced training programs at BUFT, offering hands-on experience in RMG sector technologies and fostering industry-academic research partnerships.

The Shin Shin Group will provide professional services to ensure the success of the training initiatives.

This MoU strengthens efforts to enhance Bangladesh’s RMG sector through innovation, skills development, and global competitiveness.
