The price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk137,554 per bhori, following a reduction of Tk2,822.
This decision to lower the prices was made during a meeting of the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) on Tuesday.
A notice signed by the Chairman of the organization, Masudur Rahman, was issued in this regard.
The new prices will take effect from Wednesday.
Earlier, another price reduction was made on Monday.
Prior to that, the price of gold had been increased three times on November 20, 22, and 24. After three consecutive price hikes, two price reductions have now been made.
According to the new prices, the cost of 22-carat gold has been reduced by Tk2,822 to Tk137,554 per bhori.
The price of 21-carat gold has been reduced by Tk2,694 to Tk131,302 per bhori.
Additionally, the price of 18-carat gold has been reduced by Tk2,309 to Tk112,546 per bhori, while the price of traditional gold has been reduced by Tk1,971 to Tk92,356 per bhori.
