Brig Gen AKM Moshiul Munir has been appointed the director of Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
A notification signed by Mohammad Mamun Shibli, senior assistant secretary of the Public Administration Ministry's Press-1 Division, confirmed the matter on Thursday.
The notification also mentioned that the order will be implemented immediately.
Since the July-August mass upsurge, intern doctors and students involved in the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement had been demanding an army personnel to be the next director of SBMCH.
They said this appointment is likely to improve the quality of treatment at the hospital. Along with this, the safety of doctors will also be ensured.
