Newly appointed Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Chairman Dr Mobasser Monem and four members took the oath of office on Tuesday morning.
The four other members are Dr Nurul Kadir, Dr Mohammad Aminul Islam, Dr Mohammad Nazmul Amin, and Md Sujayet Ullah.
Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed administered the oath to the BPSC chairman and four members at the Supreme Court (SC) Judges' Lounge as Supreme Court Registrar General Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan conducted the ceremony.
PSC and Supreme Court registrar office officials were present on the occasion, among others.
The government on last Wednesday appointed Dr Mobasser Monen, a professor of the Public Administration Department of Dhaka University, as the new chairman of the BPSC.
The previous chairman of the BPSC, Md Sohrab Hossain, and 11 members tendered their resignation on October 8.
