Bank accounts of ex-chief justice, attorney general frozen

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has frozen the bank accounts of former chief justice Obaidul Hassan, his wife, former attorney general Abu Mohammad Amin Uddin, and his wife.

The BFIU issued directives to banks and financial institutions to suspend the accounts and lockers of these four individuals for 30 days on Thursday.

The BFIU also requested that these institutions provide detailed information on the accounts, including account opening forms, KYC documents, and transaction details.
