Zahid Hasan Jony, a student from the Marketing Department, has been accused of sexually harassing a student from the Music Department at Jagannath University (JnU).
The female student reported the incident to the university's proctor's office on Thursday.
She said that on August 28, Zahid Hasan Jony misbehaved and harassed her.
She further said Jony touched her without her permission under the pretense of taking pictures and made lewd proposals.
“He later harassed me again on the stairs of the BBA building. I want justice and hope this does not happen to anyone else in the future,” she added.
In the meantime, Jony was physically assaulted in connection with the incident.
Previously, he had been accused of harassing another female student by taking her photo without permission and posting it on Facebook.
When questioned about these allegations, Zahid Hasan Jony said: "Attempts are being made to frame me. I met her for the first time on Wednesday. She is trying to frame me due to past enmity. I am completely innocent."
