Dhaka’s rail communications with other parts of the country have been suspended as quota protesters put up barricade on the level crossing in Mohakhali area in the capital.
According to Ferdous Biswas, Officer-in-Charge of the Dhaka Railway Police Station, the protesters gathered there around 2pm on Tuesday.
Since then, rail communications with Dhaka have been cut off, causing significant delays and inconveniences for passengers and freight services, he said.
