A youth was killed on Tuesday afternoon in a clash between quota reform activists and Chhatra League in front of Dhaka College in the capital.
The injured was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition where the duty doctors declared him dead.
Inspector Bachchu Miah, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
He said: "When the critically injured youth was brought to Dhaka Medical, the duty doctor declared him dead. There are marks of sharp weapon injuries under his ear and on various parts of his face. The passerby who brought him to the hospital could not provide his identity."
The passerby, Akash Mahmud, who brought the unidentified youth to the hospital, said: "We found him lying in front of the petrol pump opposite Dhaka College. Then we brought him to the hospital."
