Railways Minister Md Zillul Hakim has said that there will be a separate train service for garment workers to ease their Eid trips home.
He said this on Sunday in response to questions from journalists at Pangsa upazila of Rajbari while returning to Dhaka from the district after a three-day visit.
“We were worried about the return of garment workers. On the prime minister's instructions, we have taken measures to ensure that their Eid journey is safe and that they can go home happily."
“Along with this, standing tickets and separate compartments have also been arranged for garment workers,” he added.
