Cold wave: 1,664 schools to be closed on Tuesday in Pabna

The administration has issued directives to close all primary and secondary schools in Pabna on Tuesday due to the extreme cold weather and the possibility of temperatures falling below 10°C.

As many as 1,664 schools in Pabna have been declared closed. These include 1,136 primary schools and 528 secondary schools.

This information was given in separate press releases signed by Pabna District Education Officer Rustam Ali Helali and District Primary Education Officer Siddik Mohammad Yousuf Reza on Monday afternoon.   

They said the schools will remain closed if the temperature falls below 10°C.

According to the Ishwardi Weather Office in Pabna, the lowest temperature recorded in Ishwardi was 9.2°C on Monday.

The previous order to close primary schools in districts where the temperature drops below 10° will continue.
