An inmate who was an accused in the BDR mutiny case died in Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on Monday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Kamrul Hasan , 51, son of late Kasir Uddin. He was convicted in a case involving the 2009 BDR mutiny.
He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after he fell sick where doctors declared him dead at around 8:30pm on Monday.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost In-Charge Inspector Md Bacchu Miah said the body was kept in DMCH morgue for autopsy.
