Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) predicted rain or thundershowers in different areas in the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am on Friday.
"Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places," said a Met Office press release.
"A low-pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay and adjoining areas," it also said.
Day temperature may rise by (1-2) degrees Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.4 degrees Celsius at Bandarban while Friday's minimum temperature 19.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 6:29pm on Friday and rises at 5:21am on Saturday in the capital.
