A total of 101,029 applications have been submitted for admission to the undergraduate class in the seven government colleges of the capital affiliated to Dhaka University in the academic year 2022-2023.
Dhaka University's online admission committee convenor and professor of computer science and engineering department Md Mustafizur Rahman confirmed the information on Wednesday.
He said: “A total of 1,01,029 students have applied to take part in this year's admission test. Out of them, 38,495 candidates have applied to take part in the admission test of science unit, 37,282 have taken part in the admission test of arts and social science unit and 25,252 have applied to take part in the admission test of business education unit.”
Students have applied to participate in the admission test of three units of seven colleges from April 2-30.
Simultaneously, on June 16 (Friday) Arts and Social Science Unit Admission Test, June 17 (Saturday) Science Unit Admission Test and June 24 (Saturday) Business Education Unit Admission Test (Saturday) will be held.
Dhaka University's admission circular has informed: “This year, there are 23,490 seats in three units for admission in the first year of graduation in seven colleges. Out of this, the number of seats in arts and social science unit is 9,979, business education unit is 4,892 and science unit is 8,619.”
In terms of student admission, the seats of Eden Mohila College and Begum Badrunnessa Government Girls' College are reserved for female students only and the seats of Dhaka College are reserved for male students only. However, both male and female students can get admission in Kabi Nazrul Government College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Government Titumir College and Government Bangla College.
