Bikroy has been making gigantic strides in the digital car sales market, hitting a record number of monthly car sellers on the platform in 2023, so far. It is now the biggest digital platform for buying and selling automobiles in the country.
A monthly average of 4,160 unique car sellers have used the platform this year, as compared to 1,400 sellers in 2022 and 1,200 sellers in 2021.
Bikroy is used by buyers and sellers all over the country to search and list ads of new, used, and reconditioned cars for free. Anyone can browse through the platform and look for cars available for sale. The platform has over 390,000 unique monthly visitors.
Bikroy responds to over 600,000 interested car buyers every month and receives approximately 12,000 monthly live ads from sellers in every corner of Bangladesh.
Sellers from all across the country post over 10,800 unique car ads on Bikroy. The sellers include a vast number of dealers, importers, brokers, and vehicle business owners.
Over 102,000 unique buyers use Bikroy as their preferred platform for purchasing cars. According to Bikroy, 51% of its users prefer reconditioned cars, 48% of them prefer used cars, and only 1% of them prefer new cars.
This inclination towards reconditioned cars is due to them being economically friendly for the vast majority, according to Bikroy statistics .
The organization attributes an increased demand for cars to increases in per capita income, the growing popularity of ride-sharing services and online marketplaces, as well as the availability of a wide range of affordable vehicles.
Representatives of the platform said they have been working to increase accessibility for users, and the newfound convenience in buying and selling cars through the platform will gradually transform the automobile industry of Bangladesh.
