Two Bangladesh expatriates were killed in a road crash in Madinah of Saudi Arabia on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Forkan, 50, hailing from 5 no ward of 8 no Dhemsa union of Satkania upazila and Mostafa Ali, 48, hailing from 6 no Katuria union of Banshkhali upazila.
They met with the tragic road crash while they were going to Makkah from Madinah.
Mohammad Lokman, younger brother of Mohammad Forkan said that his brother had a business at Sadi Market of Jeddah. He went to Madinah along with his friend Mostafa on Saturday driving his vehicle.
The accident took place as the vehicle overturned when they were going to Makkah for performing Umrah Hajj from Madinah.
“We came to know about the accident from the relatives, staying in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
“Now we are trying to bring the body back to the country”, added the victim's brother.
Forkan had been staying in Saudi Arabia for 25 years. For the last, he went to Saudi Arabia on 20 January this year.
Mirza Aslam, chairman of Dhemsa union, said that two Bangladeshi expatriates including a resident of Satkania were killed in Saudi Arabia.
Legal attempts are underway to bring back the bodies of the victim, he added.
