Mirza Fakhrul: Govt creates fake IDs of BNP leaders Rumin, Harunur

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government and its agents have created fake IDs of BNP leaders Rumin Farhana and Harunur Rashid in a bid to implicate them with the attack on the annual event of the Ahmadiyya community in Panchagarh.

The BNP leader came up with the comment in an exchange meeting with journalists before the extended meeting of Thakurgaon district BNP on Monday.

Fakhrul also alleged that the attack was orchestrated by the government.

Mirza Fakhrul said: "The government has conspired to blame the BNP by creating fake IDs of BNP leaders Barrister Rumin Farhana and Harunur Rashid. It is their old strategy.”

He said that all the evidence of the incident proves that this incident was pre-planned.

The government must take responsibility for it, added Fakhrul.

Mirza Fakhrul compared the current role of the government with Indian film director Govind Nihalani's movie based on the 1947 riots.

District BNP President Taimur Rahman, Thakurgaon-3 constituency former parliament member Zahidur Rahman, District BNP Joint Secretary Paigam Ali, Obaidullah Masud and others were present.
