A 20-member medical board has been formed for the better treatment of the burn victims in the Tuesday's blast at the seven-storey commercial building in Gulistan's Siddikbazar area.
Dr Samanta Lal Sen of Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute confirmed the information at a press briefing on Thursday.
The surgeon said: “Currently, nine people are under treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Three of them are on life support. The rest are being treated in the cabin. Further treatment will be given according to the condition. The condition of two of them is slightly better, but not out of danger.”
The explosion that occurred in a restaurant called Cafe Queen in the basement of the seven-storey building in Gulistan's Siddikbazar area on Tuesday afternoon has so far claimed the lives of 21 people.
