BRTA: Road accidents killed 303 in February

A total of 303 people were killed and another 416 were injured in countrywide road accidents in February.

A total of 455 vehicles including 20 cars, 74 buses, 17 pickups, 20 CNG-run autorickshaws, 83 trucks, 102 motorcycles, 15 battery-run autorickshaws, 18 easy-bikes, 12 tractors, two ambulances, 10 rickshaw vans, seven microbuses and 75 other vehicles were also damaged in 308 road accidents during the time.

The highest casualties were recorded in Dhaka division with the death of 78 people and injuries to 72 people in 89 road accidents, according to a press release issued by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

The number of deaths was 333 and injuries more than 336 in 322 road accidents across the country in January.
