PAW Foundation names 10 animal lovers for Pranobik Bondhu Award 2022

The People for Animal Welfare (PAW) Foundation has announced the names of 10 animal lovers for the second Pranobik Bondhu award this year in recognition of their enduring love for animals.

The awardees include Shahida Begum, Dipanwita Ridi, Deep Ecology and Snake Conservation Foundation, and Arafat Ashik under the category of rescue and care.

Nargis Sultana Liza and HM Shamim for their contribution to forest and wildlife, Bakhtiar Hamid for mass awareness, Dr Mohammad Rashedul Alam for education and research, Dr Md Nur-e-Alam for treatment, and Mustafa Monwar as special recognition.

The award was first introduced last year to inspire animal lovers working for the welfare of stray, domesticated animals and wildlife.

PAW Foundation, a non-profit organization, is engaged in mass awareness against dog culling, whimsical relocation of stray dogs, and inhuman treatment of horses and elephants used commercially. The volunteers also campaign for mass vaccination and enforcement of related laws for the safeguard of all animals.
