People flocking to PM Hasina’s Cox’s Bazar rally venue

A stream of people was seen rushing on Wednesday morning towards Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar, where Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to address a rally later in the day.

People were entering the venue playing musical instruments and chanting slogans praising the prime minister's leadership.

Apart from wearing special coloured t-shirts and caps, placards with pictures of various Awami League leaders and boat signs were seen in their hands. 

MP Zafar Alam from Cox's Bazar-1, MP Ashek Ullah Rafiq from Cox's Bazar-2, and leaders and activists of the Awami League's local units as well as ordinary public and students were seen coming to the rally.

Party leaders were making announcements from the stage and one of them was that the attendance had already crossed 100,000, even though the prime minister will arrive in the afternoon.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Cox's Bazar in the morning and formally inaugurated the country's first-ever International fleet review at Inani.
