The Dhaka Education Board has ordered an investigation against Dr Mohammad Abdur Rashid, a professor at the Department of Islamic Studies of Dhaka University (DU) over several complaints including corruption.

Sources said the investigation was ordered due to 11 complaints including disobeying decisions of the Appeal and Arbitration Committee of the Dhaka Education Board, harassing teachers, and taking allowances three to four times a month by meeting the managing committee.
A notification signed by the school inspector of the Dhaka Education Board said that there are various complaints against DU prof Dr Mohammad Abdur Rashid, who is also the president of the managing committee of Nilkhet High School.
The investigation officer is requested to investigate the entire matter of the school and submit a report,” the notification reads.
