Bangladesh Police imports 6 trained horses from India for 89L

Bangladesh Police imported six trained horses from India on Thursday night.

The trained horses reached Benapole Port via Petrapole Port in India, Sajedur Rahman, general secretary of the Benapole C&F Agents Staff Association told Bangla Tribune.

He said: "The horses were imported from Rajasthan. They will be taken to Rajarbagh Police Lines after release.”

Benapole Land Port Deputy Director (Traffic) Monirul Islam said: The import cost of horses is $83,340, which is about Tk890,000. We have been instructed to quickly release the horses.”

In this regard, Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Benapole Port police station, said the port authorities have been given all assistance for the speedy release of the horses.

The horses were purchased from JK Enterprise.
