Metro rail: 8 more compartments, 4 engines reach Mongla port

In the eleventh shipment, 34 packages of machinery goods, including eight compartments and four engines of metro rail, reached Mongla Port in Bagerhat on Monday morning.

A Panamanian ship MV Hosie Crown arrived with the goods at the port's jetty number seven. 

On July 27, the ship left Port of Kobe in Japan for Mongla port. 

The ship's local shipping agent and manager of The Ancient Steamship Company Md Wahiduzzaman said that the work of unloading coaches, engines and machinery goods from the ship will begin by afternoon. 

The goods will be released from the ship and taken directly to the depot of Diabari Metro rail in Uttara, Dhaka. 

The ship will leave the port on Tuesday after the release of the goods.

So far, 70 coaches and 34 engines of the metro rail have arrived through Mongla port.
