Shah Amanat runway re-opened after 2 hours

The Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport runway has reopened after take-off and landing remained suspended for nearly two hours due to a training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force.  

Flights from the runway remained suspended from 2:25pm to 3:45pm on Sunday after a training aircraft had to be kept on the runway due to faulty wheels. 

Wing Commander Farhad Hossain Khan, director of Shah Amanat International Airport confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.  

He said, that a BAF training aircraft successfully landed on the runway in the afternoon but it was discovered that it had faulty wheels. 

Flights resumed on the runway after it was towed into parking.
