After being removed from the post of convener, Reza Kibria has nominated Hasan Al Mamun (Md Al Mamun) as acting member secretary, ousting Nurul Haque Nur, member secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad.
The information was revealed in a press release issued at about 8pm on Tuesday. Gono Odhikar Parishad (Reza Kibria) office sub-committee co-coordinator Shahabuddin Shubo confirmed the notification to Bangla Tribune.
Reza Kibria in the release stated that Nurul Haque Nur has been temporarily exempted from the party for alleged violations of the constitution, 21-point program, Money Laundering Prevention Act and Anti-Terrorism Act, liaison with foreign intelligence agencies including Israel, unethical financial transactions, organizing meetings in violation of the constitution and illegally nominating acting convener and causing chaos in the party by posting inflammatory posts against leaders on social media, among others.
“At the same time, Md Rashed Khan, joint convener of the central convening committee, was temporarily exempted for cooperating in this process. Both have been ordered to show cause within the next week to the party office,” he added.
