Police have recovered the bodies of two women from separate places in Dhaka on Sunday evening.
The deceased are Ayesha Siddika, 23, and Sima, 22. Both were recovered from separate areas in Khilgaon.
Khilgaon police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sonia Parveen said: "The bodies were sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem."
Quoting private car driver Md Farhad, husband of deceased Ayesha Siddika, SI Sonia Parveen said: "Ayesha lived with her husband in a rented house in East Gogan area of Khilgaon. Her husband Farhad had borrowed Tk1,000 from a neighbouring tenant. He failed to pay on time and the creditor bullied Ayesha for that. Ayesha told this to Farhad on the phone. Later Farhad returned home and found Ayesha hanging."
The police official said: "We are investigating the whole matter."
The deceased's father's name is Haripad Mandal. His village home is in Munshiganj.
On the other hand, the body of a young woman named Seema, 21, was recovered from Dhaka's Mugda General Hospital.
In this regard, SI Sonia said: "As far as I heard, she died after being admitted to Mugda hospital. She was admitted due to respiratory problems. She was also said to be a drug addict. Details will be given after investigation."
