The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced a Tk1,167 drop in the price of gold per bhori, to be in effect from Wednesday.
Tuesday's announcement comes just two days after a record Tk7,700 hike in the price of the precious metal.
Every bhori of 22-carat gold will set a customer back by Tk97,627 from Wednesday, while the prices of 21-carat and 18-carat gold have been set at Tk93,195 and Tk79,898, respectively.
Meanwhile, traditional gold will cost Tk66,543.
