The government will take measures to build more houses for people rendered homeless by climate change, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin has said.
The minister was speaking at a views-exchange meeting with officials of the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust at the Old Forest Building in Dhaka’s Mohakhali area on Tuesday.
The government had undertaken 800 projects at a cost of Tk3,800 crore with funding from the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust. The projects have benefited nearly 30 million people in the coastal areas of the country, Shahab Uddin said.
