188 Bangladeshis flown back from UAE

As many as 188 Bangladeshis, stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) owing to the travel restrictions enforced amid the coronavirus pandemic, have returned home on a chartered flight.

The special flight from Dubai, one of the emirates of UAE, landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:05am on Tuesday, said a member of Aviation Security at the airport.

The FZ8073 flight brought 188 Bangladesh nationals who were involved in the construction sector there.

A doctor at the health desk of the airport told the Dhaka Tribune that all returnees went through thermal screening at the airport and were asked to self-isolate at home.
