Locals rushed to the spot after the bridge collapsed with a cement-laden truck on Sunday Dhaka TribuneBuilt in 2000, the narrow and decaying bridge earlier collapsed in 2009 and 2014. The authorities also placed warning signs barring vehicles above 5 tonnes from crossing the bridge. Condition of the five other steel bridges in the 35km-stretch between Jamalpur town and Madarganj upazila is also poor.
