The current age of retirement for freedom fighters working in government employment is 60 years, which will be 61 after the government implements the court directive. The age of retirement for non-freedom fighters in the public sector is 59 years.
A bench comprised of Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore and Justice AKM Shahidul Huq announced the verdict on Wednesday afternoon.
